CSD 2026

Diversity is thriving here – Christopher Street Day is coming to Hohenlockstedt! This year, on 20 June 2026, Hohenlockstedt will host Christopher Street Day (CSD), which has been rotating through the Steinburg district for the past four years. CSD raises the profile of queer people and advocates for their rights. Together with experienced partners and people from the region, the team from the Arthur Boskamp-Stiftung is organising the CSD in Hohenlockstedt. Afterwards, there will be a QUEER BAR in the garden of the Arthur Boskamp-STiftung.

Exhibition by the 2025/26 Advancement Award recipients: Modularküche

As part of the 2025/26 Advancement Award, we cordially invite you to the exhibition opening on 9 May 2026 at 2 pm. Modularküche is a collaborative project by Paula König, Liliana Escalhão and Johann König and forms part of the Advancement Award, which in 2025/26 recognised works at the intersection of art, ecology and sustainability. The exhibition explores regional foods and seasonal recipes from Central Portugal and Northern Germany through illustrations and a cookbook.

M.1 Lokal: QUEER BAR

This summer, for the sixth year running, the QUEER BAR will be taking place in the garden of the Arthur Boskamp Foundation’s M.1! With interesting guests, spectacular lip-sync performances and clinking glasses, the bar once again invites queer people from the region and anyone else interested to network, chat and celebrate together.

The dates for Queer Bar 2026 are:
Saturday, 6 June 2026 with Speed Dating
Saturday, 20 June 2026 with a DJ set to round off CSD
Saturday, 22 August 2026 with dragqueen AmyLu DeVil
Saturday, 19 September 2026 with provost Steffen Paar

M.1 Lokal: Comic-Kurs

Kommt vorbei zum Comic-Kurs! Der Comic-Kurs im M.1 der Arthur Boskamp-Stiftung startet in eine neue Saison: In diesem Jahr geht es um Vielfalt und Mitbestimmung. Wir thematisieren, was sich junge Menschen für Hohenlockstedt wünschen und wie sie sich für eine lebendige Vielfalt in der Gemeinschaft vor Ort einbringen können. Außerdem experimentieren wir mit unterschiedlichen Medien, mit denen sich die Zeichnungen in Bewegung setzen lassen. Zum Kurs gehören auch gemeinsame Ausflüge und Ausstellungen mit den entstandenen Zeichnungen.

Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos.

Högerbau

Since 2022, the Arthur Boskamp-Stiftung together with the Kiel-based architecture firm Archi-Tektur PartG mbB have been renovating the „Högerbau", the former soldiers' home in Hohenlockstedt, planned by Fritz Höger and built in 1911.
